Another gorgeous Kabuto in a beautiful dark yellow shade, my latest work from 2025.

A highly sensitive rod with deep progression and powerful butt when needed.

The rod has a simple look, in keeping with my style of building rods.

On this blank, I installed an eccentric spacer, made from a series of bamboo sections (from Tonkin) and a bi-metal hardware in ergal and brass.

The western grip is longer as requested, but the rod is perfectly balanced.

A beautiful orange-red "Perfect" agate stripping guide, silver snake guides and yellow wrap + black thread complete the assembly.

I hope this great rod will give my friend "Orchestra Conductor" a lot of satisfaction!

Un altro stupendo Kabuto di un bellissimo tono giallo scuro, il mio ultimo lavoro del 2025.

Canna molto sensibile, dotata di una profonda progressione e di un butt potente quando serve.

Il look della canna è sobrio, in linea con il mio stile di montaggio.

Su questo grezzo ho montato uno spacer con tornitura eccentrica, realizzato con una serie di sezioni di bamboo (del Tonchino) e una meccanica Bi-metal in ergal e ottone.

Il grip western come richiesto e più lungo ma la canna è perfettamente bilanciata.

Un bellissimo stripping guide in agata "Perfect" rosso arancio, serpentine silver e legature gialle + filetti neri completano il montaggio.

Spero che questa gran canna che darà molte soddisfazioni al mio amico "Maestro" !!

The Z-Axis series was made from 2007 to 2011, is particularly celebrated for its forgiving action,

making it an ideal choice for both expert fly anglers and those just starting out.

Lightweight, balanced, and precise, this rod delivers smooth, accurate casts and excellent control, whether fishing small streams or larger rivers.

The rod has been completely dismantled, returning it to its blank state.

The look of the rod is in line with the typical SAGE style so as not to distort it too much.

I chose a spacer in curly ash burl combined with the original hardware, which I polished to a high gloss. The grip is a classic and comfortable full wells style, with green Japanese silk, an emerald green "Perfect" agate and SB guides completing the assembly.

The rod is ready for new adventures....

La serie Z-Axis è stata prodotta dal 2007 al 2011, è particolarmente apprezzata per la sua azione tollerante,

che la rende la scelta ideale sia per i pescatori esperti che per i principianti.

Leggera, bilanciata e precisa, questa canna garantisce lanci fluidi e accurati e un controllo eccellente, sia nei piccoli torrenti che nei fiumi più grandi.

La canna è stata completamente smantellata, riportandola a blank.

Il look dlla canna è in linea con il tipico stile SAGE per non snaturarla troppo.

Ho scelto uno spacer in ash burl curly abbinato alla meccanica originale che ho rilucidato a specchio, il grip è un classico e comodo full wells, seta giapponese verde, un'agata "Perfect" verde smeraldo e serpentine SB completano il montaggio.

La canna è pronta per nuove avventure....

Scott G-Series 904-4 | 9'0'' 4wt. 4pc

(Graphite Rod)

The Scott G-Series rods are widely hailed as some of the greatest graphite rods ever made and unlike many graphite rods, they appreciate with age.

This was a very long and demanding job because of the many details that had to be reproduced but it was worth it.

I tried to faithfully recreate all the details of the original model without leaving anything out.

I kept the original hardware, giving them a new sparkle, the two stripping guides and all the snakes.

The action is classic medium-fast graphite action that made the G rods famous.

I hope the rod will live for many, many more years...

Le canne Scott G-Series sono ampiamente acclamate come alcune delle migliori canne in grafite mai realizzate e, a differenza di molte altre canne in grafite, acquistano valore con il passare del tempo.

Questo è stato un lavoro molto lungo e impegnativo per via dei moltissimi dettagli da riprodurre ma ne è valsa la pena.

Ho cercato di ricreare fedelmente tutti i particolari del modello originale senza tralasciare niente.

Ho mantenuto la meccanica originale dandole un nuovo splendore, i due stipping guide e tutte le serpentine.

L'azione è quella classica medio-veloce in grafite che ha reso famose le canne G. ricche di sensibilità, finezza e potenza.

Spero che la canna viva ancora molti molti anni.....
