Mc Farland Tailwind - 9'0'' 4wt. 4pc.

(GRAPHITE ROD)

Another excellent ‘Tailwind’ rolled by Mike in the USA. Progressive, powerful and sensitive. ( One of my favourites ).

In agreement with my customer, I have given the rod an extremely clean and essential look, as usual, with a few small details.

The grip is a velvety full wells, combined with a magnificent stabilised maple burl spacer (exibition grade).

I installed a classic down-lock hardware of my own making to which I added a synthetic ivory bottom cap in the butt cap.

A beautiful strippig guide by ‘Mildrum’ and snakes by ‘SB’ Uni, wrapped with ghost-coloured Japanese silk and white tip complete the assembly.

This is a splendid rod to use anywhere...

Un altro eccellente "Tailwind" rullato da Mike negli USA. Progressivo, potente e sensibile. ( Uno dei miei preferiti ).

In accordo col mio cliente, ho conferito alla canna un look estremamente pulito ed essenziale, come al solito, con qualche piccolo dettaglio.

Il grip è un vellutato full wells, unito ad un magnifico spacer in Maple burl stabilizzato (exibition grade).

Ho montato una classica meccanica down lock di mia produzione a cui ho aggiunto nel butt cap un bottom cap in avorio sintetico.

Un bellissimo strippig guide by "Mildrum" e serpentine di "SB" Uni, legate con seta giapponese color ghost e filetti bianchi completano il montaggio.

Questa è una canna da usare ovunque...

Epic Swift FASTGLASS II 370

(Fiberglass Rod)

Another 370 from Epic, one of my favourite fibreglass blanks for fishing in small streams. I like its liveliness, long throws are easy to execute, given to the considerable reserve of power that this blank has in its DNA.

The look of the rod is clean as usual, only accents in the tone of red/orange, as required.

I used a selected fragment of figured Tuscan olive, from "Maremma", ergal hardware with green PE inlay, s.g. red/orange agate, green silk wrapps and red/orange tips.

Un'altra 370 di Epic, uno dei miei grezzi in fibra di vetro preferiti per la pesca in piccoli torrenti. Mi piace la sua vivacità, i lanci lunghi sono facili da eseguire, grazie alla notevole riserva di potenza che questo grezzo ha nel suo DNA. 

Il look della canna è pulito come al solito, solo accenti nella tonalità del rosso/arancio, come richiesto.

Ho usato un selezionato frammento di ulivo Toscano ricco di venature, proveniente dalla "Maremma", meccanica in ergal con intarsio in PE verde, s.g. agata rosso/arancio, legature in seta verde e filetti rosso/arancio.

Caro Marco, sono certo che questa canna ti saprà far divertire molto !

SAGE 690-3 SP | 9'0'' 6wt. 3pc

(Graphite Rod)

The Graphite IV SP series was introduced in 1993, with 64-milion modulus graphite and the revolutionary Durascrim process.

It has been totally disassembled and rebuilt. I tried to restore it to its former originality.

Despite a deep polish, several marks are still present on the rod, caused by intense usage and previous inaccurate rod builder's work.

The look of the rod is typical SAGE style, the stripping guide has been changed to a green agate and the snakes are rigorously Snake Brand.

The reel seat is composed of a fragment of green pigmented spalted beech and stabilized (as in the models of the time) and a Lemke Concept hardware with the butt cap redesigned and made in my workshop.

The rod is really powerful, undoubtedly adapted for catching large fish, perhaps pursued by streamers.

I hope the rod will give many emotions.

La serie Graphite IV SP fu presentata nel 1993, con 64-milion modulus graphite ed il rivoluzionario processo Durascrim.

E' stata totalmente smontata e ricostruita. Ho cercato di ridonarle la sua antica originalità.

Nonostante una lucidatura profonda sono ancora presenti diversi segni sul fusto, dovuti ad una gravosa usura e da precedenti interventi eseguiti da rod builder poco accurati.

Il look della canna è il tipico di SAGE, è stato sostituito lo stripping guide con un' agata verde e le serpentine che sono rigorosamente Snake Brand.

Il reel seat è composto da un frammento di faggio spalted pigmentato verde e stabilizzato (come nei modelli dell'epoca) e da una meccanica Lemke Concept con il butt cap ridisegnato e realizzato nel mio lab.

La canna è molto potente, senza dubbio adatta al recupero di grosse prede, insidiate magari a streamer.

Spero che la canna regalerà molte emozioni.

Caro Giancarlo, vivi questa canna fino in fondo... io penso che ne varrà la pena !
